Bob has lived in Cave Creek for 40 years and knows where most of the bodies are buried, but is willing to tell the (tall) tales and legends about our amazing western history. He will have his paintings and published books of the stories and landscapes that continue to inspire him for display and sale.

    This one-of-its-kind adventure tour is the perfect way to spend an exciting day learning about Arizona’s fascinating gold mining history while finding the "Gold Fever" within yourself. You'll interact with the knowledgeable guide and follow the same vein of gold that Old Rackensack chased in 1880. This mine was were instrumental in the founding of Cave Creek. Limited to 9 adult guests. Advance reservations are required.

    Kiwanis’ Preschool Pioneers: There Was a Coyote Who Swallowed a Flea

    This program is for children ages 3-5; however, all ages are welcome. Children must be accompanied by at least one adult.  "There Was a Coyote Who Swallowed a Flea" -- Our coyote swallows increasingly larger desert animals, including a cactus, western hat and more in this humorous rhyming tale. We will walk the museum to find some of them and explore them. This event is FREE thanks to the financial support of the Kiwanis Club of Carefree. Pre-registration is strongly encouraged.

    Immerse yourself in a day in the life of a miner, blacksmith and other characters from Cave Creek's 1800'2 gold mining era. Try your hand at gold panning, experience what children in a gold camp did for fun. Costumed interpreters will guide your family through the historic mining campus and tell stories of the gold-fueled days of the American West. Registration is limited and required. This event is FREE thanks to the generous funding of the Kiwanis Club of Carefree.
