    This program is for children ages 3-5; however, all ages are welcome. Children must be accompanied by at least one adult.  "The Night the Grandfathers Danced" -- Step into the life of young Autumn, dressed in her pink fringed shawl ready for her first Bear Dance and explore traditional Native American crafts, foods and objects from museum exhibits. This event is FREE thanks to the generous funding of the Kiwanis Club of Carefree. Pre-registration is strongly encouraged.

    Immerse yourself in a day in the life of a miner, blacksmith and other characters from Cave Creek's 1800'2 gold mining era. Try your hand at gold panning, experience what children in a gold camp did for fun. Costumed interpreters will guide your family through the historic mining campus and tell stories of the gold-fueled days of the American West. Registration is limited and required. This event is FREE thanks to the generous funding of the Kiwanis Club of Carefree.

    Join us for our favorite and largest fundraiser, the Cave Creek Museum's Annual Miners' Dinner on March 10, 2026, from 5:00-7:00 pm. This event will be held at Harold’s Corral, which serves as the official sponsor. You'll be entertained by local favorite Kevin Causey, who is also Master of Ceremony. Plus, special guest Bob Boze Bell will join the fun and meet Poncho, the beer burro!! Also featured is a silent auction, balloon pop, the ol’ miner, western characters and a bake sale, among other activities. Your support and attendance of this event allows the Museum to continue to grow and serve our community and guests. **TICKETS ARE NO LONGER AVAILABLE ONLINE. TICKETS CAN BE PURCHASED AT THE DOOR TUESDAY MARCH 10 AT 5PM
