February is when paleontologists come to Arizona with their fossil finds, and there will be a "pit" full of them at Cave Creek Museum!  Join us to become a “certified” paleontologist and unearth fossils from the past, identify them, then curate your very own collection.  This is open to all ages and reservations are recommended.

Cave Creek Museum is honored to welcome, Gary Owens, Jr., Director of The Huhugam Ki: Museum, as a featured speaker in this season’s Cave Creek Museum Presents series. At this special presentation, he will share insight into the traditional gathering and farming of indigenous foods of the Salt River People.

Why is Black Mountain Black? What kind of precious minerals lurk under the earth that drove prospectors to our region. Bradley will bring ancient geology to life.

Cave Creek’s own Wildlife Rescuer, Paul Diefenderfer, will share the lifesaving stories of over 30 years of being the one to call when a member of our wildlife community is in a jam.  A very humble guy who under his tie-dye disguise is a true super hero.

Triple B, B3, Bob Boze Bell is a true triple threat of talent! Bob has lived in Cave Creek for 40 years and he will draw out one of his daily “whip out” illustrations as he shares the (tall) tales and legends about our amazing western history. Bob will have his paintings and published books of the stories and landscapes that continue to inspire him for display and sale.

Join us for an informative and visually rich presentation as Tom traces Cave Creek from its source in Yavapai County, 30 miles north of the Town of Cave Creek, all the way to the Sea of Cortez in Mexico. This event will be held at Holland Community Center.
