This is a workshop for photographers of all experience levels who want to participate in a creative learning experience while shooting photographs at the Cave Creek Museum. Participants can use equipment ranging from cell phones to DSLR’s.
Desert Awareness Committee brings a touch of the desert for lots of family fun. Become a “Desert Explorer” and figure out who eats who in the desert at our predator and prey station. Discover the mysteries behind how plants survive in the desert with no rain and hot temperatures at the scrubby skins station. Earn a special bookmark when you become desert ‘savvy’!
Join dozens of local organizations to learn about the archaeology of the Cave Creek area through info booths, gold-panning, pottery making, guest speakers and live demonstrations. No registration required---just come and have fun!

Raptor rescue, rehabilitation, release and education organization Wild at Heart joins the Cave Creek Museum for a Kiwanis' Family Fun Day that will give kids and their families the opportunity to interact with, learn about, and understand the importance of raptors in our ecological system.
Our desert is fragile, our resources precious. Join the Cave Creek Museum for Kiwanis' Family Fun Day to learn "what you do makes a difference, and you have to decide what kind of difference you want to make."
Join the Cave Creek Museum in collaboration with the Desert Foothill Land Trust and many other friends for a day of fun in the most beautiful place in Cave Creek. Family activities are the theme of the day.
This program is thanks to the generous funding of the Kiwanis Club of Carefree. The "Singing Cowboy" and his trusty steed Dusty join the Cave Creek Museum to lead our guests in singing songs and telling stories of yore. And no doubt Dusty will be ready to show off how he is the smartest horse in all of Cave Creek! You be smart and pre-register, so Dusty'll know your coming! He LOVES an audience!
Kiwanis' Family Fun Days is FREE, thanks to the generosity of the Kiwanis Club of Carefree. Christmas for Arizona's homesteaders was very much "do-it-yourself". They made their own ornaments, their own cards, their own wrapping paper--they even made the gifts they gave to one another! Make your own special ornament and make your own fun at the Cave Creek Museum!
