Inaugural STEM Program

This science, technology, engineering and mathematics program is being offered because as a history museum, we recognize that “history leads to the future”.

Congratulations on Your Acceptance into the STEM course: “Basic Electronics and Computer Coding”.

Below, you will find a button that will allow you to purchase the Arduino Kit necessary for the course.  When you have received your Certificate of Completion, you will be reimbursed for the cost of the kit.

Funding for the STEM course and reimbursement is generously provided by the Kiwanis’ Club of Carefree.

STEM Program Application

Please complete all the required information fields and click on the “Submit” button when done.  You will be contacted by the Cave Creek Museum prior to finalizing your registration.  We greatly appreciate your interest.  Thank you!

The following are questions to gauge your experience and interest.  Experience is not mandatory, but it will be considered as part of the application process in the event there is an abundance of applicants.

STEM Areas of Interest to You:

Do you like math? *
Have you completed pre-algebra modules in mathematics? *
Do you like computer studies? *
Have you worked with electronic components before? *
Do you like homework? *
Have you completed kits, such as, KIWI Kits, LEGO Education or Adafruit projects? *

When you submit your STEM program application, you acknowledge that:

  1. You have discussed the program and weekly schedule with your parent or supervising adult;
  2. You intend to do your best to attend each class held at The Holland Center plus complete home assignments; and
  3. You understand that purchasing an ELEGO Uno Super Starter Kit is necessary for your participation.  (Cave Creek Museum will provide you an Amazon link to the specific kit, and the purchase amount will be reimbursed when you complete this program.)
