Immerse yourself in a day in the life of a miner, blacksmith and other characters from Cave Creek's 1800'2 gold mining era. Try your hand at gold panning, experience what children in a gold camp did for fun. Costumed interpreters will guide your family through the historic mining campus and tell stories of the gold-fueled days of the American West. Registration is limited and required. Wild At Heart is a program that will encourage understanding, respect and compassion for wildlife and the environment.  Adults learn to better understand the role of urban wildlife in our environment and children learn to engage with the natural world without fear.
