    Lorna Lockwood was a woman ahead of her time. Born in Douglas, Arizona, she chose to follow in her father's footsteps and became the first woman to graduate from an Arizona law school. Lorna became the first woman Justice of the Arizona Supreme Court. Learn of her amazing journey!

    Cave Creek Museum’s Annual Miners’ Dinner

    Join us for our favorite fundraiser, the Cave Creek Museum's Annual Miners' Dinner on March 25, 2025, from 4.00-8.00 pm. After enjoying signature cocktails, we will dine al fresco to a with an all new special menu and entertained by local favorite, Kevin Causey, with special guest, Master Gunslinger Johnny Hotshot! Interactive entertainment also includes artists Lance Headlee, Marless Fellows and Nancy Brieman and a blacksmithing demo as well as an opportunity to pan for gold. And as usual, our Silent Auction is offering a variety of goodies to suit every taste and pocket--bring your wallet! Your support and attendance of this event allows the Museum to continue to grow and serve our community and guests.

    This first-of-its kind adventure tour is the perfect way to spend an exciting day learning about Arizona’s fascinating gold mining history while finding the "Gold Fever" within yourself. You'll interact with the knowledgeable guide and follow the same vein of gold that Old Rackensack chased in 1880. This mine was were instrumental in the founding of Cave Creek. Limited to 9 guests. Advance reservations are required.

    Cave Creek Museum Presents: “Arizona’s World War II Airfields” with Steve Hoza

    Arizona is a surprising place with its secrets sometimes in plain view.  Pilot, bombardier and gunnery cadets from the USA, Great Britain and China prepared for battle on some of the country’s largest training fields located in Arizona.  Photos taken during and after the war, including historical artifacts, will be presented. Steve Hoza is a native Phoenician who has worked in the museum field his entire career and he is a recognized authority on the history of World War II in Arizona.
