Cave Creek Museum offers diverse educational programs, including summer camps, workshops, art classes, and more. Every second Sunday of the month, we offer children’s programming from 2:00 – 4:00 pm, sponsored by Kiwanis of Carefree. Each program is free and fun for families with children of all ages! Please contact Remington Pettus, Museum Program Coordinator, for any questions about events at her email,

Museum Education & Learning Resources

We are pleased to offer this section of teaching and learning resources.

For teachers, we offer pre- and post-visit lesson plans on primary and secondary historical sources, wild animals of our area, the mining life, and timeline of the North Desert Foothills area from earliest known habitation to the present time. We also invite area teachers to share with us your own special lessons developed from a trip to our museum!

Please contact us with your ideas for a more rewarding trip and extension activities!

Please call 480.488.2764 to schedule a tour for children.
