November 13, 2016 – Leave No Carbon Footprint

1:30pm – 3:00pm

Essayist, conservationist and preservationist Geoffrey Platt lived his life leaving as small a carbon footprint as possible. He came to the Sonoran desert of Arizona to write and become one with Arizona’s nature. He lived a simplistic life for twenty years in a one room cabin near Cave Creek, Arizona, filled with books, writing tablets, a bed, a few chairs and a Franklin wood burning stove. His home was in a secluded niche of the desert where he wanted to remain hidden from the general public.  Learn about how he did this and how you too can be “carbon neutral.”
